About Us:
We are both long time providers of assistance and problem resolution to ACE portal users as members of the ACE Account Services Desk (ASD), commonly known as the ACE Help Desk. We answered user questions and resolved errors and system related problems. Our time working with ASD, combined with our extensive previous experience with Custom and Border Protection (CBP) enabled us to quickly resolve the vast majority of ACE problems that were referred to us. Over the years involved in this work, we have become experts in ACE Portal processing.
ASD, as you know it was eliminated on December 20, 2012, along with the knowledge of ACE that group had gathered over the years. We decided that we did not want our knowledge and experience to be wasted. The many favorable comments that we have received over the years from the ACE users we worked with convinced us that we had something of value to offer. We offer not just expertise in how ACE processing works, but as importantly, we are thoroughly familiar with ACE glitches and programming oddities that can cause errors and problems at the border. We have launched our business, ACE Portal Solutions, to continue to make our services available and to maximize your ACE experience and minimize time wasted waiting on hold when you call the ACE Help Desk.
Who We Are:
Ron Simon:
From 2006 through 2012, Ron was a member of the ACE Help Desk staff assisting carriers, importers, brokers and other trade users, with questions about ACE and with troubleshooting issues related to manifests, the Reports tool and other system related matters. Prior to working at the ACE Support, Ron had over 35 years experience working for U.S Customs/CBP at JFK Airport in various positions. His last 10 years were spent as the Fines, Penalties & Forfeitures Officer and as a Branch Chief in the Trade Operations Division. Ron resides in the greater New York City area.
Bob Blanchard:
From 2007 through 2012 Bob was a member of the ACE Help Desk staff resolving issues called in by carriers, importers, brokers and other members of the trade community. Prior to this, Bob spent 34 years working for U.S. Customs/CBP in various positions, including the last three years in charge of cargo operations at Champlain, NY, and before that, over ten years as the Assistant Area Port Director for Trade Operations in Vermont. Bob resides in northern Vermont.
